greetings genius'
I was just wondering, my 3.2gb died in my A1200
i did have another one at work so I took the drive to work
coz my A1200 dosnt have buffered IDE ports,
and copied the contents onto a newly partitioned 3.2gb.
using winuae.
now that all worked just fine.
but is there an easier way? I hate fart assing around
with emulator.
If I did have a buffered IDE interface i would just plug
both hard drives into the amiga. and do it that way.
But just wondering if there is a hard disk cloning tool for amiga.
sort of like ghost for Amiga?

In all my years working with amigas, there had not been a cloning tool at all for the Amiga. Just partitioning, formatting and repair tools.
Standard backup programs seem to be the norm.

Yep. Because you don't need one. A simple copy command works fine. :-) Trust me. I've swapped a lot of drives in Amigas over the years.

Yep; copy a0: b0: all clone quiet is all I need.
