It's been a while since I pruned the amount of cookies Firefox has stored for me. There was so much crap I selected all of them and unselected the (about 10 out of probably a couple of hundred) ones I wanted to keep.
I'm now using the 'only allow from originating website' option in Firefox, but amiga.org needs to be among the exception list so that the user options are remembered when making news posts. No idea why, but if it's only one exception to the rule of blocking tonnes of crap cookies, it can't be that bad.

I went from having near-paranoid settings (ask before accepting/modifying, originating website only, expires on session end, etc) to just allowing cookies for the originating website.
One thing has been annoying me. A forum I like to read is under the same domain as several others, all phpBB. Of course, the cookies clash, so I have to manually delete them every couple of days.
(The offending cookie is phpbb2mysql_t... Does anyone know if a simple search-and replace for a different cookie name through the PHP code for each individual forum would work?)

Aye, they're a pain and no mistake. Especially when you run out of double chocolate chip at 2am :-D
I bet Odin agrees there :-)
