Hi guys! Just a little question: which one is better and why? Prelude or Delfina?
Cheers

It depends on what you are planning to do with your card. Afaik the delfina has a hardware mp3 decoder onboard while for the prelude you have to buy a seperate addon. Also if you want to buy a new card the delfina seems to be your only option as the prelude isn't beeing produced anymore.

Well, i have both a3000 & 4000 and 1200, so i just want to play around a little bit, produce some music, some mp3 stuff...and all that..
maybe i will bid on both of them
;)

The delfina has a DSP, but I'm not sure (beyond some mp3 decode acceleration) how much it's used.
It would be nice if AHI uses it for mixing multiple channels taking the work from the CPU. Can anybody confirm this?

Yeah, the Delfina card is now upgraded a bit by the new producers and is now called Flipper. I reckon it's the model you're thinking about when you say Delfina, and I guess you've allready been to this site (http://www.jschoenfeld.com/indexe.htm) to read about it?
I don't know if any sound-progs really take advantage of the fact that it has a DSP in it, which is a shame if they don't. My knowledge on it is like none, so I might be mistaken, but I haven't heard about any DSP revolution on the miggy. There's a guy who made an initiative before we wrote the year 2000, but it became with the initiative (http://wfmh.org.pl/projects/delfina/).
