The king of all chat shows, Michael Parkinson, is moving to ITV in a golden handshake deal. Parky decided to leave the BBC after they wanted to move his talk show to a different slot to accommodate the return of Match of the Day in August. Here's some more on the story...

[EXTRA INFO: I don`t really have a tv , just a tv-card for my computer, and it`s for background noise mostly (to stop surveillance equipment from eavesdropping ) as i surf ,dude...]

Sure, I still watch him, the dude has an exellent interview technique that puts his guests at they're ease.

Actually I'd have to disagree, he tend's to have a habit of not letting the guests finnish answering the question. Maybe because he has n questions to ask in a set time so he just steam rollers along.
Oh and what's with the BBC employing lots of people who can't talk properly, ie short tongued etc? After all it seems completely against the idea of a presenter, someone who can talk properly.
(Or perhaps there all inbread at the Beeb, and so hire their cousins :-D )

You've got to admit, though, MOTD is a lot better. The guy used to be a sports writer, so why is he throwing his toys out of the pram over something like this?
