My main machine is a 4000T with the '060 card Quikpak shipped it with.
I purchased a 4000D with Toaster 4000 more than a year ago and have only recently started playing with it.
I replaced the clock battery and got it to boot.
My question is...the 4000D has a Warp '040 board in it and I'm wondering what the differences are between the Warp '040, regular '040s and my '060?
Since there seems to be special software for Warp boards I'm wondering what's specifically different about them (as opposed to normal '040 boards) and how do they compare to an '060 (as opposed to normal '040 boards).
I'm figuring the '060 is still faster but that the Warp '040 does some stuff a normal '040 won't.
Details appreciated... :-?

I assume you mean a WarpEngine 040? If so, it's a great accellerator. Compared to the original Commodore A3640 it's much much faster because of the fast memory on the card. But, the 040 on it is simply a normal 040. So, another card (ie. Cyberstorm 040, T-Rex 040, etc.) with the same processor would have similar results.
As far as the QuikPak 060, that will run circles around the 040. IIRC it is the only accellerator that supports (ie. actually uses) EDO ram so it's memory speeds are very fast. Add the fact that the 060 processor is much faster than the 040 anyway.

If you're talking about the WarpEngine, there are lot of details about it on amiga-hardware.com.
Things like onboard ram, higher frequencies and SCSI controller differ it from the standard C=3640.

When you talk about special warp-software I assume you refer to warp-datatypes or the like. In that case I have to disappoint you, the warp comes from WarpOS, wich is for PPC-accelerators.
-
I assumed as much.
So the only question I really have now is...
The WarpEngine isn't related to WarpOS mentioned in some
software, datatypes, etc.?
Is WarpOS for PPC or something?

Yes, WarpOS is needed to operate the PPC-accelerators. It`s a replacement for the original PowerUP system from Phase5
