are there any drivers that would enable you to use a new PC-Card extern cd-rom (used with laptops) with a A1200?
-
Without knowing, I would guess not, as the a1200 doesn't have a cardbus port (32bit), but only a pcmcia one (16bit).
Sincerely,
-Kenneth Straarup.

I'd say your right, Youll need to source an old 16bit PCMCIA CD-Rom drive, then you can use telmexatapi.device with it, but im quite sure such devices are quite rare now.

@Ryu
Hmm.... What is telmexatapi.device? This is the first I've heard of it, and NOTHING seems to appear on google for it?? I'm assuming it'll allow certain old 16bit PCMCIA interfaces to work... But what was it distributed with? Where can it be found now? Any licensing problems?

it comes with the IDEFix package. It worked with an old PCMCIA 2 IDE interface I had, my CD-Rom drive worked a treat off of it, infact i wish i never gave it away now
