Title: A Chess program.

I would like to know if someone would recommend a good/better/best amiga chess program for download(temp)?

Are there any latest commecial chess programs as well and where can I find one to purchase? Thanks.

Battle Chess for the CD32 is an excellent game.
Don't know of many others, although Aminet probably has a few chess games.

Battle Chess is fun and animated, but not all that brutal on skill level.  If you want something that'll kick your butt and humiliate you, I'd recommend uchess.  It's available on Aminet, and has difficulty settings ranging from tough to impossible for mortals who aren't Kasparov.  ;-)

It's an Amiga port from GnuChess.

hmm, i had some kind of dodgy but impossible chess game on one of the three 50 GREAT GAME disks...
