A line stuck in my head at the end of last year (ouch!).
It was "The problem here is that Amiga.org's DMZ is being taken over by trolls.", by Wayne. Lord knows why, but I can still vividly remember that. I remember thinking at the time, that it reminded me of the line "The lunatics have taken over the asylum".
Well, where have all the trolls gone? Have they moved on to warmer climes?
And is it me, or is it a LOT quieter than before the trolls appeared on the scene at the end of last year?
Regards
-
It's best not to ask. Just count your blessings :-)
-
I've noticed that lately!
Certainly good to see. I think it could have something to do with what Wayne has done

Trolls don“t like heat, they like a cold winter.
Or if they are of the john bauer variant maybe they moved deeper into the woods.
Or they are hiding under the rocks(aw and mz) like in the old fairy tales? :-D
-
it's ME
they can't stand to be near my heat!!!!
and my dancing

Yes, your hot "after dancing" feet surely drives them away

Maybe it's because the " Shi'ite" has hit the fan and its getting too ripe for them.
-
Personally I think the Coffee House structure has made it harder to Troll. Since the topics are so general and we have a wide range of views, a Troll can't get started.
-
Well... I remember telling a couple of people exactly where to get off a few weeks back. ;-)
-
HEY!!!!! Over here..... I'm a troll from way back!!!!!!
Look at me!!!! hush up and listen to my brilliance!!!!
TROLL TROLL TROLL....... LOL
and I'm not joking.
me >>> attention whore supreme!!!!
Pay attention....$%$@@#@#$!%$^&*OI*^@

oops.... nearly forgot..... death to the USA!!!!! :pissed: :-D :pissed: :-D :pissed: :-D

pieter, don't be a pain in the arse. You must have better things to do with your life.
-
Well, actually - I don't have a bleep thing to do at all.
I wasn't aware that being a troll hurt your bottom. A most curious response.
Could you be more specific? This does seem to be the correct thread to discuss such things.
In any case... so many things are painful..... we can't concern ourselves with all of them.
For example... not being able to get my Amiga repaired any longer and I am but a troll and don't know anything about everything and cannot fix the bleeping thing.
I was forced to buy a Mac. Yuk. A lousy Powerbook G4 with 17" widescreen.... I hate it. I miss my loyal little Amiga... WAAAAAH.... :-(
-
Well, actually - I don't have a bleep thing to do at all.
That sounds like your problem! Amiga.org is not recommended as a substitute for normal life!

A figure of speech.
For example... not being able to get my Amiga repaired ... and cannot fix the bleeping thing.
You could ask technical questions in the relevant forums on AO about that, instead of being a pain?
-
Hey! I'm still here! :-)
Actually guys, you should brace youtself - JonoPike has got the sack from his job so he will have nothing else better to do than troll on this site and take his anger out onit! (probably).
-
"Where have all the trolls gone?"

"...the girls have picked them, every one."
(Or at least the good ones.)

WHAT?!??! :-o
Blasphemy! :admonish: :insane:

I guess I'll have to use my hot "after dancing" feet to "drives them away".

Well, let 'em stop picking me

Well, where have all the trolls gone?
The problem (for trolls like me) is that there is just no new material! In the good old days, Amiga Inc would have a have a new calamity every week... and even when they went quiet, there was that famous McEwen testimony which kept us busy for a long time!
But unfortunately, there is only so much capital we can get out of seeing OS4 running in June 2001, t-shirts, coupons, all those millions in debt.....
-
There is definitely a lot less nonsense - weird how long it takes to realise that an annoying thing has gone! However, there is a new member from the last couple of days who reminds me of a certain famous troll of this site. I, for one, shall be ignoring his posts (unless it becomes clear that I am wrong; in which case this course of action could be considered slightly harsh!)
Long live a troll free A.org!

Like when that car alarm outside finally stops. I never notice it's stopped until it starts again! :-D
-
Indeed - tis very true! Who would have thought that such a venerable invention would have society's indifference as its major flaw?!
Maybe it's just a UK thing, though?
-
Abou27 wrote:

I dunno, indifference seems to me pretty universal.
-
They didn't go anywhere. It's just that it's April. Almost time for their bath :-D
-

I sort of miss DoomMaster though, never seen a troll with so many ridiculous statements :-P
Anyone got his old avatar with the military helmet on? just for nostalgic reasons

He's still around. Goes by the handle AmiMan these days, I think.

I dunno. Yeah, er, well, no. Maybe. Whatever...
Ooh, a biscuit...

@cecila,
Blimey, chuck, talk about synchronicity
-
Yikes! :-o How many nick`s does he have on amiga.org :-?
-
Off topic, but here's a good one.
What kind of condoms do Trolls use??
Trolljans, of course. :-D
-
Must be the courting season, at least.....I see ducks mating and courting all the time now.
-
Perhaps the trolls are out courting controversy then?
-
@Cyberus:
I dunno why, but i keep getting hungry when looking at your avatar :-P
Miss Lawson i presume?
-
@Restore2003
you need your daily portion blood from her neck?
-
That's not Nigella Lawson, is it? Looks more like this woman from a Sci Fi series called farscape or something.
-
@speel:
No i desperately need Nigella`s homemade cooking! :-)
@karlos:
But it sure looks like her
-
lol guys
Its the character 'Aeryn' from Farscape, yes. Not Nigella Lawson - I didn't know she was known outside of the UK anyway(?). Did you know that she is the daughter of Nigel Lawson, the former Chancellor of the Exchequer (British finance minister)?
One of my friends adores Farscape, and when I go round to see him he always seems to be watching it. I've eventually become a convert, even though I'm not really a big sci-fi fan. I really like the interplay between the characters, and I like the character Aeryn cos I like feisty women!
Oh and the 'slug with moustache' Rigel (sp) is also v cool.
-

Yes. Scary isn't it? If it weren't for the hair/eye colouring, I'd swear she was adopted
-
Glad to see my name hasn't been mentioned in this thread, seeing as i am NOT a troll.
Yes, I'm back! After a break of nearly 2 weeks! I trust that you all had a good easter. I did apart from Exeter City losing both their games over that period.
What did anyone do over easter then? I went to Yorkshire to see some of my family over the weekend.
And BTW CU_AMiGA, when did Jono get the sack? And was it for clicking his fingers too often?
