Title: Sound FX Source, Sound Manipulation Software and Music
Post by: sdesros on April 12, 2004, 07:03:20 PM
I'm working on a game, that I'm hoping to finish by the end of the summer (most of the game logic is finally done, still a bit of debugging and fluff to do...  I never thought a puzzle game would be so complicated. :P).  I'm trying to figure out a good source for sound fx.

I'm doing quick research online, but I have a feeling that I'm  going to end up with a bunch of samples that don't quite sound like they are comming from the same source (different sample rates, etc.)  Does any one recommend a good source for sound samples?  I would also know if anyone has any recommendations to sound conversion and editing software that I can use?

I might also need some help with the music.  This is an unofficial port/clone of a game.  So I'm looking at sticking to roughly the same music, maybe upgrade it a little. :P

HERE (http://www.waveform.dk/index2.phtml) you can find, some samples.

Not all are HQ but some are good.

SoundFX (http://www.sonicpulse.de/eng/p_sfx.html) will do the job. Download the demo (you cannot save) to see if its what you're looking for, and then register it (only 20???? for what it offers).
