How sad, a part of my A3000 is for sale now I see, or is that one of
yours and you are keeping mine? Just dont make to much off my
system!!! ;)
-
Hi.
That's the one from your ex system, yes. I don't need it as I already have an extra CSPPC in my A4000. I did a splendid job on reconditioning it though (cleaning, etc.). You had a very noisy fan over the PPC chip which seemed to be on its last legs, plus the heatsink grease between the heatsink and PPC chip definitely needed change as it dried off during the years.

It looks good. I am having a blast with my Pegasos G4 system now. I am starting to not miss my Amiga any more! You should look into getting one with the money you make!
-
I would very much like to get a Pegasos. It looks great and more and more I hear good reviews about it. Perhaps I'll get one down the road, but not sure when.
-
Gotta second that.....
Was hanging onto my CSPPC in the hope of seeing OS4 soon, well...for a real long time now.
Decided to trade-up and go back to Pegasos with a Peg2 G4 :-)
I know Roj is out there enjoying my CSPPC and I get to look forward to something too....win:win :-)
Buy a pegasos, they rock :D

Hi x56h34,
sorry x56h34 but you say that with OS3.9 you need the 68040.library (dummy) but AFAIK with the last SetPatch there's no need of the 040 dummy library for the boot.
If i use it, i found in the loaded library, both 040 and 060 library (Scout).
I've removed the dummy switch, and the system boot anyway.
It is only a question . . . :-)
Ciao
-
Yeah, 040 dummy isn't needed with Boingbag 2 for WB3.9.
-
You dont need the dummy, but having it wont hurt anything as well. I left it in mine just for the sake of it.
I can say that now I've been using my Pegasos for a few days it more and more like my Amiga was. Sure a small few of the apps are not working, but I have a PC with nothing on it but windows and WinUAE loaded with 3.9 and all my stuff from the A3000 that works perfectly. If I need something my peg wont run then that machine will do it. It even loads UAE after windows comes up.
I see the price on that CSPPC is getting up! Good for you. What will you be doing with the other stuff from my old system? Are you selling it all part by part?
-
@Acill:
I'm going to keep the rest for now. ;-)

I did the opposite. Sold my Pegasos II and bougt a CSPPC amiga :) For my wallet it was a bad deal, but I wanted a genuine Amiga.
I might place a bid on this card, if I can raise the cash. Will probably go beyond my price range though... Shame really, cause Im constantly afraid that my amiga will die on me. Would be comforting to have an extra CSPPC card in the event that my Amiga dies before OS4 arrives for my A1.
Still, you can always enlist Cloantos help in keeping AOS on the screen!

Last day before this auction ends. :bump:

WOW, 650$.. I know the UK/US prices for amiga hardware are a bit higher, but I bought the same board at ebay germany for ~320Eur.. including 96MB 60ns ram.. your're a lucky guy x56h34..

I have this feeling in the back of my head that I may get close to $900-$1000. A bit optimistic, I know, but we'll see. :-)
