I need some help to identify this A1200 accellerator
I bought on EBay.
A tag says its a 'MagicBox Alnt. 030 cpu' The tag is
partially destroyed so that all I can read.
Its an 030 @40mhz with a socket for 68882 chip (I'm told)
And a slot for 1 72 pin simm and a place to put a disk
style battery for a battery backed clock (I think).
Anyone know anything about this unit, its not listed
on Amiga-Hardware.

Post an image of it and we'll most likely know what it is, right away. ;-)
-
You got a picture of it ?
-
I can do the pictures but not sure how to
upload them.
How do I do that??
-
The best way would be to use private webspace and then simply cut & paste the link to your image. If you were to do it in the Image Gallery of this site, it would take a day or two for it to get approved and appear.
-
Well, if you cannot upload to here, just put somewhere on the net and give us a link :-)
-
Can someone tell me how to paste a picture here ??
It looks like its done with the 'Image Manager' above
but I don't seem to be doing it right.

@melott-
I saw that card on eBay, as well, and thought about tossing in a bid on it, but decided against it. Glad an Amiga.org'er got it. Kind of a rare item, I think.
MagicBox is a video company who resold A1200s and CD32s boxed as turnkey infochannel packages. The Alphagen (http://www.magicboxinc.com/support/support_alphagen.html) was a repackaged A1200, and this was an accelerator card for that machine.
My guess (and this is certainly a guess) is that it might be a re-branded DCE board. Check the A1200 accelerators by DCE that are listed on Amiga-Hardware, and see if any of those look like it.

tut tut, as soon as I see a picture or whatever waiting validation I validate it. And since i spend prety much all day every day logged in here, things get validated prety rapidly, id say a few hours rather than "a day or 2" :-)

@RYU.........
Sorry.. I've never tried to load a pic into a forum
before and didn't know the procedure.....
@IIWrath
You are right.. except this card is an ELBOX 1230 MKII.
The pictures match and the discription is right on.
Should be a good card.........
Thanks much for the help
