Title: A3000 power supply
Post by: mgerics on April 05, 2004, 11:26:17 PM
Turned on A3000 and a flash emerged from the power supply!
= dead A3000.
So, anyone got a power supply or suggestion for hacking a bigfoot, an A4000 power supply or other power supply to work?

How about a schematic so I can rebuild this thing?

You can hack an ATX or AT power supply to work.  I'm not sure if you'll get it to fit just right in the desktop case though.  Here's a quick link I just Googled, but there are more.

If your in the US I have one. Make an offer and I can pull it out. Or I am selling the complete system minus the A3000 motherboard for $75 plus shipping. Thats the case, floppy, PSU, daughter card, all the hardware ect.

You can buy an A3000 PSU from Elbox.

But, check out the voltages before you use it.

Would almost give mine up, but that would be unethical, for I know my A3K is D.O.A. A.T.T. Power seems to switch on, but no discernable indicators beyond that, and it had a "battery acid attack"

@Acill,

I just PM'd you.  My slightly sick A3000 could use a hand.  :-)
