Title: WinUAE and fast AGA/sound emulation(?)
Post by: Damion on April 05, 2004, 11:14:00 AM
Hey all,

How is AGA and sound emulation/compatibility on a fast PC (like 3+ GHz)
with  WinUAE these days?

Specifically, could I run, say, a demo like "Little Nell" or "Grid" at full
speed with correct sound and graphics?

The reason behind this, is, my Amiga is collecting dust right now,
I've only  kept it because I'm rather attatched to it's demo
partition...and since I'm  soon buying another (modern) PC, I figured
it's time to sell off my old 1200/060 and accessories, if WinUAE is up
to the task.

Oh, and playing JetPilot at full speed and resolution would also be
allright. :)

AGA and sound emulation/compatibility in 0.8.25 is near-perfect now, and WinUAE is lightning fast on a medium to high-spec PC, JetPilot included! (...and TFX, Tornado, Genetic Species, Nemac IV, Breathless, Alien Breed 3D, AB3DII-TKG, Fears, Gloom, etc. etc.) Demos work just as well too. You won't be disappointed!!! See my sig below for my WinUAE/PC spec.

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear! Thanks! :pint:
