I am looking for a scan of the "Only Amiga gives you all this and a 68000 processor too" ad suitable for printing poster size.
When I was visiting my parent's house I found the ad on the back cover of some 1986/7sh Amiga World magazines but the back cover had taken too much of a beating to get a salvagable scan.
Here is a low res scan I found on the net:

I swear I've seen that image recently, like in the last week or so....Is it somewhere in the image gallery?

I've got a 1275 x 1600 scan - about twice that resolution. I can email it if you want it.
It's 150 dpi, I'm not sure how far you'd want to enlarge it..

That's the best I know of. (http:// http://amiga.org/gallery/photo.php?lid=907 Click here[/url)

I have a stack of Amiga Worlds downstairs which I kept for the various tutorials. I'm pretty sure we bought our A2000 in 1988, though. Maybe earlier. If I see it I will do the deed.

Looking at the ad its a pity the Amiga One(or Pegasos) wont have as much to boast about in hardware specs these days.
Makes me wish some bright group of people would came out with something revolutionary to call a new Amiga like El Toro did in the beginning.
I know this is off topic sorta....
I can only hope things fare better for subsequent models or upon final release of a boxed mass consumer Amiga system.
I guess it all comes down to R&D expenditure. Its bizzare to be riding on PC hardware coat-tails with such things as 3d cards etc. The Amiga wont even be able to compete with the new consoles coming out in 2-3 years.
Its a pity the Amiga couldn't leapfrog and jump onto some newer technology than PPC. I mean if you're practically starting from scratch software-wise you might as well go for the latest and greatest. Sorry, its probably been said a million times before.

Thanks everyone! This is quite an active message board. I have posted to 2 or 3 others hadn't gotten any response.
JimS - Thanks for offering! I sent you a private message with my email.
Will-i-am - I saw it on the back cover of a 1987 issue I think. I appreciate you looking!

Why? The 68000 was already old hat by the time the Amiga 1000 was released. It wasn't merely the CPU which made the A1000 special. Similarly, if you want some new Amiga computer to "leapfrog", it's going to take more than just a fast processor to do it.
Why abandon the PowePC series now? After years in the doldrums, its future now looks very bright indeed.

danlehen: It's on the way. This scan came from the May 1986 issue of AmigaWorld.
