My American friends have persuaded me to try eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I am informed that in this context, jelly = jam. So.... here goes.
I will eat the peanut butter and jam sandwich.
....
-
...man, that was foul.
-
homer voice: peanutbutter, arrrrrgggggg.....
actually, (in the US of A) jelly is clear stuff with no bits of fruit in it and jam is thick with fruit parts, but when eaten with peanutbutter, either will do.
i like to eat slices of banana and cream cheese and crisp lettuce on toast with my crunchy peanutbutter.
but that's just me.
(ps. wow, you decided that in 6 secs!)
-
Peanut butter and jelly....yeeeeukkkkkk (wheres that vomit smiley), a friend of mine used to like jam and bread dipped in coke and my mother is a fan of peanut butter and honey, some people have freaky taste buds.
-
And you think that's freaky?
I've seen guys doin' worse...
for instance:
pineapple jam with chocolate granules... :roflmao: (some ppl do somehow everything with pineapple)
-
(some ppl do somehow everything with pineapple)
Nothing worse that Pineapple on Pizza...shudder...
-

You haven't seen the worst yet (though for sure tis gruesome, pineaplle on pizza) These persons need EVERYTHING 'Hawaii', even their toast with bacon and eggs (called 'uitsmijter' here in nl)
-
There now follows a public safety broadcast concerning the dangers of jelly (http://www.weebl.jolt.co.uk/jelly.htm)...
Be warned ;-)
[requires flash]

Peanut butter and Jam ... Yuck!
Peanut butter and weiner sandwich? ... Awesome!!!

@ Chris
HUMPH! You OBVIOUSLY didn't use the correct type of peanut butter and jelly. Sheesh. It's no wonder if you used the UK variety. Most british food I've had had the taste of posterboard.

Hell, yes! As long as you can spread it right (I usually mix it with margerine first.) :-D

Ah yes..
with good butter and young cheese, lovely. :-)
-
Here's the best:
Toast
Melted cheese
Worcestershire sauce
:-D
-
Cheese on toast kicks a*se :-) Poor mans' pizza if you do it right :-D
-
Yurgh! Marmite! You'd have to keelhaul me before I ever eat that gruesome chemical again.
:nervous:
Oh, and peanutbutter/jam is indeed pretty sick too ;-). Peanutbutter/hagelslag on the other hand......
-
My sarnie of choice this week is spreadable cheese (Dairylea preferably) and ..... wait for it! ......
Space Raiders Pickled Onion crisps! :-D

Mmmm !Maaarmiiite! (http://www.marmite.com/marmite/marmite.html)
Yummie on toast.
You either love it or hate it.
Urgh! that just sounded like pretzel man..."you are either with us or against us" (Shudder)
-
Is it? I can't say I've ever tried marmite for years. I just remember something that tasted like eating raw gravy granules with a dash of moisture
-
When my parents divorced, I lived with my father... Due to his erratic shopping habbits I lived on Marmite... it's good stuff...
-

Well, everyone eventually. :-(
That's actually a picture I took of some flowers my mum got on her birthday yesterday, I couldn't resist doing something morose with it. It intrigues me that we give something with such a strong association with death and sorrow as a romantic gift.
Speaking of birthdays... I'm 21 on Tuesday! :-D

I know that feeling.. except that my parents aren't divorced..
Now I live on my own, despite that the supermarket is almost next door, it's still the same thing :-) (especially on sundays)
-
Ah, so young and already so aware of the limits of this life.
In case I forget it tuesday, happy bday :-).

/me lobs a can of Irn-Bru down to tpg for Tuesday's celebration

Well back to peanut butter etc., I suggest using those overripe bananas that are otherwise heading to the trash with crunchy peanut butter on fresh bakery bread.
Apparently Elvis liked peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. :elvis:
Pineapple on a pizza (in conjuction with ham) is not that bad and I prefer it to pepperoni, but my favourite is italian sausage and feta cheese.
Marmite is just too damn salty for a sandwich.
Using a toaster oven or perhaps a broiler, try thick sliced french (or similar) bread with a layer of parmesan cheese and a little garlic salt or powder for taste. Broil until the parmesan cheese bubbles, eat while warm.

My God, man, with Marmite it's GOT to be butter!

I actually like peanut butter and marmalade toasty sangers, but it's foul when the bread isn't warm and toasted for some reason. Mad but true.
I can't say I've ever enjoyed raspberry/strawberry/blackcurrent or any other sort of red berry jam with peanut butter however, toasted or otherwise it just doesn't taste good, dunno why.
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TPG!!!!
Heres a virtual drink on me :pint: :-D

Considering a human's life expectation is app. 80 years, that's a rather accurate guess ;-)

Karlos wrote:

I'm still the right side of 30, but not for long ;-)
since we write from left to right, I guess if you count, it's alike '1, 2, 3, 4, 5'
so if you're on the 'right' side of 30, as in '28, 29, 30, 31, 32' you stay on the 'right' side of 30, since our time counting system only increments.
(sorry for this utterly useless post, I am bored)

kids say such funny things ;-) (some kids estimated my age being 50 :-o while I am not grey yet!)
According to me, after you're 21, becoming 30 seems to be next year :-( (and then, becoming 40 isn't that far either :boohoo:)
I really should shave more.

@Speel
It's the beard. It puts a few years on.

If you ask me, beards are nothing but annoying. I was too lazy to shave one vacation and boy did that beard itch! Never ever will I want to endure that again, I´d rather shave every morning :-).
