Title: need sampler software

im looking for an excuse to get an amiga again
is there any software that will let me play multiple samples over midi (polyphonic)
possibly multitimbral aswell

Octamed Soundstudio can be configured as a slave midi instrument. It's certianly capable of polyphonic playback of samples (especially in mix mode), but I'm not totally sure about multitimbral in the fullest sense (keyboard splits etc.) but you can have many sounds loaded and switch between them.
