I was hoping some of the hi-speed swedish guys might translate
some of what the worms say in this game. For Instance, the firepunch(?) says hi-yukken! (to me, anyways)
and once in a while, the game randomly bleats,
hairy japanese bahstaads! ..
so I doubt if I got those right amongst others?
yes, I'm bored today.. :| ~Aloha~

That's pretty much how Fire Punch goes.
Other lines in Worms include "Fatality!" for dragon ball, "First blood", "You'll regret this" and "Stoopid!" in some other situations.

Why would swedish guys be better at translating this? :-?

You forgot the most important one of all:
Missed!
:-P
Many a time have I heard that, then the instant after a cluster segment bites him up the ass!

My apologies, I must have mixed up the origins of this game with another. Thanks

The uppercut and fireball sounds are just plays off of Street Fighter sound effects. Hiii-ruuuuken! or something like that.

I've never ever heard that! Do you have an original, or a crack, perhaps? ;-)

I can play the game every day for weeks without hearing it,
so everytime it catches me off guard, a little spooky. :-o

It's RYU-ken......sheesh..... :-(
In japanese, Ryu means 'dragon' and ken literally means 'fist'. No, Te means 'hand'. There is a difference.
So, he's basically saying 'dragon fist'.
Think about it....Ry- U- Ken. :-?
Jeez, and I only learned chinese. :-D
Oh, if anyone was wondering, Asuken is 'energy fist'.

No, I've never heard that line either. There's "Hello" (which might send like "hairy", I guess), "I'll get you", "Just you wait". Was it any of those?
You might want to go through the samples directory manually (they're just IFF samples, possibly compressed - can't remember now, but xfdmaster will sort that out), and check the filename of the one which allegedly talks about the Japanese being hairy.
Once you find it, let us all know so we can check. :-)

Me and a friend made our own sample sets for worms on his PC, I'd best not repeat them he for reasons of taste... and so I don't get banned. ;-)
