Hey guys
Ok whenever I try to run big red on my amiga I get a black screen with white lines running up the screen, The monitor I'm using is a commodore 1084s. I added the other screen modes to my devs drawer but still dont have any luck.

Hmm. If your'e using a 1084 monitor, the only drivers you should have installed are 15khz ones (eg PAL and NTSC). Anything else might very well be out of the scan range of the monitor. I can't remember but it might show Euro36 also.
Perhaps bug red finds what it thinks is a double pal mode or something and tries to use that to save your eyes :-)

Hum,
Are you running anything like MODEPRO, check your WBSTARTUP drawer...(and startup-sequence & userSS)
It might sound weird, but try REMOVING aLL screen modes, and add (new ones)them back one at a time into devs: drawer
(and you know that if you hold down the two mouse buttons at start-up you can choose, er, options...)
It could be that the monitor is getting too old and losing the frequency...
" The thing about a 1084-- it's got lifeless screens, black screens, like a doll's eyes. When it comes at you it doesn't seem to be livin'... Until it bites you, and those black screens roll over white..."
