Title: The New Introductions Forum
Post by: sir_inferno on March 29, 2004, 11:33:29 AM
I just think that having a whole forum dedicated to people introducing themselves is a bit pointless.

I mean sure it's nice having some1 saying hello, we learn a bit of information about them, but isn't it just a case of:

Subject:Hello

Message: I'm returning to the amiga scene

Replies: Hello welcome to amiga.org, we hope you enjoy your stay!

And if the replies arn't of that nature, they're usually about "What are my options of returning to amiga?" which are EXTENSIVELY covered in the main forums...

Although i can't (don't have time or knowledge) to make the ideal system:

When you sign up you have a little intro biog box, and then you have a page which shows you every1's biog box, and the recent arrivles...

Maybe there's an alternative?

I donno...just interested in some other opinions...

Yes there is.

How hard is it to write an aouto greeter thingy?

Everyone that likes welcoming ppl can opt in and when somone new joins the click I'm new and they get autogreeted(TM)by all those on the list.

Yes im bored to
