Calling anyone who's an expert in power supplies...
I bought a PC power supply from Eyetech in November 2002, which came with instructions as how to develop a version for the Amiga (I needed to butcher an old Amiga power supply to get the Amiga connector off it).
The problem is, it never worked. Plugging in the power cable had no effect whatsoever. I mentioned it to Eyetech and they apologized, saying that it was the wrong supply and told me to send it back, but I never got round to it and now they never reply when I ask them about it... :-(
Anyway, I'm wondering if the power supply is actually broken, since might it need connecting to a switch somehow? The unit has no switch on itself, but I'm wondering if that's what's stopping it from working.
If anyone can shed light on this, I'd be really grateful!

Check here:

It explains how a PC ATX power supply works (which is probably what you got) and how to build a circuit to use it.
Be careful and good luck.
