Title: Old flaws, new hickups and maybe some bugs (?)
Post by: SkulleateR on March 15, 2026, 05:58:12 PM
Ok, it’s been a while since I had time to really deep dive into my A600GS and there were some updates, so here are some things I’ve found and that I think need to be adressed.  :)

- CTRL-A-A quits out of Amibench instead of doing a reset after AmiBrowser has been used
- Bluetooth sound is pain in the a**, either not working at all or laggy and choppy, even changing quality every 3 seconds (tested with 2 pairs of speakers and a (not cheap) headset)
- the memory overflow workaround (white dot) is really annoyng while working with/on mainly dark screens
- while using a wb window and list the files as names you get artifacts of the outlined white font (see screenshot)

- the System Monitor is constantly triggering infos in the background, which causes slowdowns while file transfer, not very high but noticable, maybe change the update interval ?

- after using AmiBrowser for downloading, sometimes I get an error about not getting a response from server even if the internet connection is ok, causing Amibench to lock up and/or not showing mouse pointer any more
- will there be an update to Amiberry in the near future since at 5.8.10, we already get a performance boost for some problematic games like Jim Powers ? We already got 5.9.x out there and A600GS is still on 5.8.7  :(

Absolutely concur with these two, particularly the bluetooth sound as I often use AirPods in the evening. It's easy to tell when there's an issue, as I often get sound through only one bud, before experiencing lag/choppiness.
