Title: Purchasing a license for AmiBench

Not as yet. Some things will not run on standard 68k hardware, like things that use our custom arm libraries.

Amibench OS (v46) (https://wiki.amiga.org/index.php/AmiBench) is a newly developed OS by Amigakit, the system doesn't have an official deal with Clonato/Amiga Inc and so is powered by a heavily modified Aros OS and Aros Kickstart Replacement Rom. AROS Research Operating System (AROS – pronounced "AR-OS") is a free and open-source multi media centric implementation of the AmigaOS 3.1 APIs.

Yes, but you can't download it there; you need access to amistore.net, which is accessible via a serial key.

I just want to make a clone of the A600 GS without the 9-pin connectors in the TV box, so I don't have to steal it.

Post by: MOG-G5 on March 24, 2026, 10:41:04 PM: Even if you have a CPU board that you think will run AmiBench, it won't work for you because the system is locked down to AmigaKit hardware. It won't get past the boot screen. If you want AmiBench, just buy an A600GS or A1200NG. That the only way it will work for you.

Indeed, the only issues you would have is with ARM libraries.

Because I pulled the SD card from my A1200GS and stuck it into a spare OrangePi 3 Zero and it booted, then stopped at the 'Press Any Key Screen' and did NOTHING ELSE! Why? Because the OS is tied to the AmigaKit hardware,

That's why I think so!

You should have got "no license key found". Your incorrect, that part is tied to boot OS not Amibench.
