Returning because I've just got my hands on an original Amiga 1200, last Amiga computer I had was a good 40 ish years ago. ( It's been commented in a following post that I'm a time traveller and got my Amiga before they were released. Was thinking about my Vic20, sorry and too impatient to read what I type before pressing the submit button.) Anyway onto the the reason for posting....
Now I want to connect the A1200 to my monitor which has 2 HDMI ports and I'm stuck between two options. I'm going to be installing a Pistorm32-Lite using a Raspberry Pi 3B. I can output Workbench through HDMI to the first HDMI port on my monitor. For Games I researched two options.
The first option is to use a OSCC and a RGB to SCART connector, and output the signal from the RGB port on the Amiga to my monitor. using the second HDMI port.
The second option is to install a Indivision AGA Mk3 and output this to the second HDMI port.
I know the first option is cheaper then the second, and this isn't my issue, its what is going to give me the best picture. Do I just bite the bullet and go for the Indivision AGA or not.
I could offset the extra cost by selling the 4MB Memory upgrade that came with the computer. Its a Power Computing DKX1202, it has a 4MB SIMM module and a 33Mhz Motorola MC68882 FPU installed. Not sure how much these go for, can't find any on eBay, but wont need it after the Pistorm32-Lite is installed.
Anyway advice would be much appreciated.

Just wondering, does your time machine from back then still work? We could use it these days for many things (not only Amiga-related) ;). (The Amiga 1000 was presented in August 1985, which is around 40 and a half years ago.)

Thank you for pointing that out, obviously I wasn't concentrating when typing this out. Would have been a good trick if it was that long ago, so was about 18 or 19 when I got my first A500. I was thinking about my first computer the Commodore Vic20.
So my original Amiga 500 I didn't keep with me. Not intentionally but when I left home I didn't have the space to take it with me. Then I forgot about it and my parents passed away, my brother's all left home and it got lost to history or one of my brothers took it. Shame as I had quite a good setup, or at least I thought so. I did also have a A500 plus at one point and the one in the box A1000 or A1500? But alas I can't remember what I did with them, probably sold them. I bypassed the A600 and A1200, until this week when I got an original A1200, think the board revision is 1D4. It's all in pieces at the moment as I'm sending the board away to get recapped and it generally needs a good clean. The case was in very good condition with little to no discolouration, the keyboard wasn't too bad either. All in all it's a nice machine considering its age.
Right off to do some more time travelling. :)
