Title: Stolen A1200 Desktop Dynamite sold on eBay
Post by: Hitori on November 23, 2025, 09:43:02 AM
Hello dear Amiga fans!

I wanted to inform that my stolen A1200 was recently sold on eBay, if by some unlikely chance there happens to be a person here that actually bought it or knows who bought it - I'd love to buy it back - it contains a lot of memories.

The Amiga contains some surprises that the seller had no idea about that I'd gladly use to prove the ownership.

Here's the auction link of the stolen Amiga: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/306595878494

Have you contacted Ebay and put in a Stolen item case?
How was it stolen from you?

Looking at the sales thread it sold very cheaply with someone with a 0 feedback and a newly opened account in October 25.

Have started a thread over on Amibay and pointed this link as well.

Yes, I have! The case got dismissed without a word of explanation  :-\

> How was it stolen from you?

I was renovating and put the Amiga in the basement until the room is finished - I had a break-in to the basement and it was stolen then, along with other items, like a Commodore 64 with SD to drive emulator and other less important items.

That's very kind of you!

It appears it may not have sold as the stated price was 600 start and 2699 buy it now. It might be relisted possibly.

Sorry to hear about the theft, hope you can get it back.

That sucks big time. Hope you manage to get it back.

I remember when my uncle had his A500 stolen in a break in. All he had left was the trap door, he had also peeled the warranty sticker and put it on trap door.
My father owned the only Computer shop in my home town at the time. So he told my father about it, and he told my uncle he had someone come in with a faulty A500, missing the trap door cover and warranty sticker peeled off. So he gave my father the trap door and the warranty sticker matched perfectly, so it was my uncles stolen A500.
Police got involved and were waiting for man to return, when he did they pounced, :). Happy ending, but mad how it all panned out.
