Title: Hi there
Post by: Larth on October 26, 2025, 04:39:04 PM
I am an amigian who was active playing and programming from the start, got an A1000 in summer of 85 and then an A2000. Through questionable decisions I got rid of them and have rediscovered Amiga through the Amiga 40 event in Germany (which was amazing).

The roamap back includes

[X] Get FS-UAE installed and running
[X] Get some games
[ ] ... and up and running - currently stuck on the joystick not being found by games (the Launcher shows it)
[X] Copy my old source to FS-UAE
[ ] .. and compile and run
[ ] More

Maybe later I will also get hardware - either classic or some fancy new

Amazing to be back in this world again.  :)

Welcome back to the Amiga and the forum. I'm sure you'll have great fun rediscovering the platform and the new developments.

What underlying platform are you running FS-UAE on?

Thank you, Andy. I am already loving it.

I am running on Mac (12.2.1, M1). Got different configs set up and running. For Joystick it is USB Speedlink one. It doesn't show up in any Mac preferences, but the FS-UAE launcher finds it. Configured it and saved the config. When I start the game, it is not being uswed. F12 shows that it is there for Joystick mode.

There are some threads on the same problem, but no solution yet.
