Title: Amiga3000 no 5V on keyboard port - R420 burnt
Post by: darksun9210 on October 16, 2025, 10:37:02 AM
Hey all,
just a quick ask if anyone has the lid off of their A3000 - what's the value or colours on their Resistor r420 by the keyboard port? mine has been rather discoloured and non-functional since i got the machine, and after getting amber working over the weekend, i've got the wind up my tail to fix everything else on this board.

the commodore system schematics has it at 1 Ohm, 1/2 W, +_5%

but looking on Bboah at a picture of an A3000 board, shows me what i'm sure is red, black, gold, gold, which i'm reading as 2 Ohm, +_5%, but it could be brown. mild colour blindness isn't helpfull here.

if someone can confirm that would be amazing.

thanks all

R420 is 1 Ohm and 1/2 Watt.  The detail in the schematic matches what's on the board.
