Title: Original A1200 disk drive and the A1200NG
Post by: Ingstein on October 03, 2025, 11:20:49 AM
Hi guys,

I‘m trying to connect an old internal A1200 disk drive to my A1200NG but it doesn’t seem to work. Doesn’t make any sounds and doesn’t show up in Workbench.
What am I doing wrong? 😁

Cables see attachment!

XO
Ingo

Have you configured it in menu?

Guessing you got it working now?

If I recall, just selecting real floppies, will not work until you set it to Shutgard 0.

Yes, works like a charm. I did set DF0 to use real floppies and Greaseweazle ticked.

Think, you missunderstood. As well what you just said, you also need to set if drive is 0, 1, 2. Or for PC drives A, B.
I think it defaults to Amiga Floppy 0. So if it were a PC drive you have to set it to A.
