Wanted to know if the current USB pens (250mb, 500Mb etc) are compatible with the current available USB cards on the Amiga? Has anyone had any experience here?
-
I have been happily using various brands of USB thumbdrive style devices via mass storage class and fat95 On Poseidon USB on MorphOS and AmigaOS for some time.
I assume a USB 'pen'drive is pretty much the same class of device.
So lang as it doesn't require fat32...(devices 4GB and greater or was it 2GB???) you should be OK.

For the E3B cards, there are many people out using these devices. IF you take some care, there shouldn't be problems:
- avoid vendor specific devices. No additional inbstallation for modern Windoof systems is a good sign.
- use latest Poseidon version.
- read the doc about mass storage devices.
- check the linux usb pages on known morons Linux USB devices (http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/)
Hope this helps.
