Title: A600 - graphics issues in some games
Post by: swood123 on May 22, 2025, 07:59:15 PM
Hi all,

I have noticed I seem to have some game loading issues and graphics issues on my Amiga.  I have a GOTEK that I use to create floppy discs which I then use to load games.  Some games run fine but more often than not I get either graphics issues or failure to load.

Can anyone advise on this?

I did recap the capacitors carefully as I have done for my A1200 which works fine.

Photo attached showing typical issue.

Regards

Steven

Probably just due to ECS not being OCS and/or chipram not being slow ram.
Have you tried “downgrading” the chipset settings in early-startup?

Can't really remember if this is possible on 2.04 - 2.05 ROMs.
If you mean by holding two mouse buttons like 3.0.

Try using Multikickstart to softkick 1.3 to RAM.
There were some game fixes since the later A500s with green led.
I remember that there were called ECS fix. Try testing multiple adfs of the same game.
