something serious happened on the EAB servers. :-[
RCK said a russian hacker attacked the servers and deleted all the data, topics and files, and that there's no backup of anything because the server in the UK with the all the backup was also dismantled.
The only thing that survived was the turran FTP
anyways after the attack RCK opened the IRC chat but later was hacked too
so things got really bad. 8)

You sure it was down so it wasn't just a DNS problem on your end or similar?
I've been on EAB daily for the last few months and it's been down because of to many bots connectiong for a few hours here and there but never down for days.
