or are there a special A1200 cd version?
-
There is a version for the A1200, but the CD32 version should work just fine.
I know of a few CD32 games that work perfectly well on my A1200 (Chaos Engine being one of them :-D )

It needs a LOT of chipram, though - almost the full 2MB. You may need to boot without a startup-sequence, manually mount your CD drive, and load the game.
There's a direct file rip of the CD32 version on Back to the Roots - if you can spare the hard drive space, that might be a better option since you won't need to deal with CD craziness.
Another thought: getting BASS to RUN from CD isn't too tough, but getting it to BOOT is almost impossible on an expanded Amiga - even on a CD32 w/ SX-1.

Is there any diference in the graphics between the AGA and ECS versions?
-
dunno, but the PC edition came with my SuSE Linux 9

256 colours as apposed to 32.
And the CD32 version has full speech and is 80MB.
I copied the full contents of the CD onto my hard disk, and it runs from there with no problems.

I have the game on CD32, and it´s really irritating every time Foster, or anyone else, says something... For each line of speech I have to wait about two seconds, when the CD is being accessed... :(
