Prod_Prep v39.1
=========
WARNING: This is an advanced partitioning and format tool. Incorrect usage will definately damage your harddisk structure. You have been warned!
Prod_Prep is the ugly but otherwise powerful brother of HDToolBox. It comes hidden, and is never installed by default. Can be located in the 3.1 floppy disk "Install3.1", inside the C: drawer. It is a very comfortable tool for automatically deploying an entire Amiga system from within a script. It lets you partition and format harddrives in a non interactive manner by feeding the program the proper instructions from a shell/script.
It is still bound to the same limitations that the 3.1 HDToolbox has. All the same warnings about HDToolBox from 3.1 apply to Prod_Prep.
Hi, this is a very handy tool but whenever i try to run it with a layout.script i get Error on write -4, if i run with those argument only "device scsi.device unit 0" i get can't open RDSK! i have tried on Winuae, real machine and different OS versions, i wrote a tool to see if i can read the RDB block correctly and it reported correctly, so there is some thing that i don't understand or some bug in the program..can you help?

It’s an Hyperion Product. Therefore I would bring this up with Hyperion on their help forum. Also this thread is old! We are now on OS 3.2.2.1 👍🏻

The problem it's shipped with 3.1 and maybe not after and Hyperion is still developing or is bankrupt?
I tought the developer was here...

I use the RDB / partitioning tool from 3.9, which works perfect. Sets up RDB, partitions all from a file.
I also created scripts, that sets up HDD, then writes the info I want to it, with one click.

They are mostly at EAB (https://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?f=142) now, and they have also put up their own forum (https://developer.amigaos3.net/forum).
...
Meanwhile - this site has its own "developer's corner" - http://www.amiga.org/developer/
(notice the lack of https, the certificate you are served when visiting https://www.amiga.org is invalid all kinds of ways, selfsigned, wrong CN/SAN, expired a year ago)
There you can read about the great AMIStore Amiga App Store, and the link takes you to http://www.amistore.net (also no https) where they describe the concepts of Amisphere users, pointing at https://secure.a-eon.biz/register_user.php which which presents yet another invalid certificate (selfsigned, wrong CN/SAN, expired a year ago)
Its same program, prod_prep 39.1. Working fine here. Use it almost every day for last 12 years.
Mainly in WinUAE, with real HDD's.
