So tried to import a couple other roms through the manage rom files screen. It let's me select them but afterwards they don't show in the list. Should they?
-
Yes, they should appear in the list. I have imported 3 from Amiga Forever and they have stayed in my list (even after shutting down).
I have attached a screenshot (well, a badly taken photo of my screen).
[EDIT - when I attached the photo as a JPG here it showed as upside down! Tried various ways to fix it but in the end changing it to a PNG worked.]

Yes they should appear, I've added a 1.3 kickstart and ROMs from the OS 3.2 CD. Maybe the ones you added were not valid? I believe amiberry does use a checksum to verify the ROMs, perhaps they did not pass?

It will be a crazy naming issue.
Try renaming to kick13.rom, kick31.rom etc etc.
Plus at the moment it will ignore other kickstarts added.
You can only use kick1.3 from A500 configs, kick3.1 for A1200 configs, kick3.1CD32 + CD32 Ext and kick1.3CDTV + TV Ext.
That will change as more configs become available.
When selecting A500, A1200, CD32 or CDTV, it will auto select correct rom/s. If they are not found it will fall back to AROS rom.

They should. What were they called? I'm just about to tighten up the filename escaping in case that is the problem.

OK, time to ask for help. For the life of me I cannot get anything to show up other than the two Aros roms when I go to Manage Roms. I navigate to the directory in the attached picture, but nothing shows up.
I tried renaming amiga-os-130.rom to kick13.rom (reading this thread), but that didn't achieve anything either...
Can someone tell me where I am going wrong.
These are Amiga Forever Roms, pulled directly from the ISO.

What happens if you import them from USB stick?
Not sure why your copying them to work partition, then trying to import from there.
You are importing in rom manager in GS menu?
Also, are the roms encrypted? I see a romkey file there.

Only the Aros roms show up in a list.

Solely because they wouldn't import from the memory stick either :)

Yes. Manage ROM Files

Yes, I believe they are, they are the Amiga Forever Roms, which I believe are encrypted. I couldn't find anything that said they would or would not work except on this thread.

Encrypted ROM's will not work.
