I'd like to know why did Gateway nor any Amiga employee have no voice over Gateway loosing discounts from Microsoft if they developed their own brand(Amiga)?
This should have been added to the anti-trust case.
Anyone have any ideas or comments?
Regards,

It was probably a footnote somewhere.

Amiga Inc is still patiently waiting for a huge check from Microsoft, according to Bill McEwens neighbors. (rumor)

I wonder why there was no uproar about this footnote, or someone just wanted the technology dead. Seems like it almost got there.

Any idea what this cheque is for?

CyberMech, something tells me that one comment wasn't based on fact and the other wasn't entirely serious :-)

Not a fact I can back up anyway. According to Rich Woods, Bill McEwens neighbors said that Bill told them he was waiting for a large check from Microsoft, and that when it was recieved, his current problems would be over.
[edit - I'll see if I can find the original post]

"As of approx 4 weeks ago - a "field interview" with a neighbor - the neighbor stated [Bill McEwen] keeps talking about how he is execting a 2 or 2.5 million check from Microsoft.

There was article from the New York times as well as a few postings on this site about former Gateway employees moaning about this. I did have a posting about this a while back in these forums as well.
I think it was from the register.
