Title: If someone here wants to invent something useful
Post by: mikeymike on March 21, 2004, 11:53:55 PM
A nail clipper that doesn't make the clipped nail fly off in a random direction.

Using a normal set of nail clippers with gradually applied pressure tends to reduce the risk of shrapnel, but it would be nicer to not have to do that.

Actually they have such a thing already. My sister has one, it's like a regular clipper except it has a round box near the business end to catch the clippings.

My wife broke me of that habit as part of my "housebreaking" training. ;-)

(needed inventions/services)

A gasoline delivery service. Make rounds in the neighborhoods and top off the cars gas tanks in the middle of the night. Mail me a  weekly bill. Wash my windshield while you're at it. Leave a copy of the morning newspaper on my dashboard, and check my glove box and make sure that there are at least 3 full packs of Camel Light 100's there, topping off if necessary. Leave a half dozen doughnuts and a thermos of coffee on the passenger seat. If there's a suit hanging in the back, take it to the dry cleaners and return it to my car the next day.

Someone could make a killing doing this here. I'd pay $50/week for this service (+ the price of the gas, paper, doughnuts and  cigs) It'd be an incredible timesaver! Someone could do 20 cars a night and make $52,000.00/year + sales working part time. (Under the table even! Shhh! :-P)
