HI All, I have some files saved as .jpgs'. Neither AdPro nor PhotoGenics will open them. One says "Bad Header"
and the other says "Unknown file format." However the images will open no Problem in Multiview, displaying at
64 colors. Also neither "VT" or "Visage" will open them. Is this an issue with size, or trying to display 24 bit
images and therefore can not display? No idea, can someone tell me what they think is happening. I am sorry if
most of the folks on the site are just game players, I am into Productivity Software and get tons of joy working
this these programs.
Thanks,
Brad Hansen

There are numerous variations and extensions of the JPEG format. Apparently the programs you use don't support some of them. The most incompatible is "progressive". This means the image is saved in a format which allows to quickly load a blurry preview of the image and it gets sharper the more layers are loaded. Another extension which might confuse loaders is meta data in JFIF containers.
