Okay I am sick of rebuilding my Amiga mouse (Champ brand Amiga/Atari) Have you had problems with them? I want some advice on which of the adapters out there are good. I've been looking at the Mr. Mouza or whatever one, Merlancia is actually the cheaper place to get it for once! Let me know how the feel and work.

Hmm, been here a few times I think. yes, GOOD hard & software. Get a nice Logitech optical wheel mouse & plug it in, yes the usb/ w adapter works fine. Very smooth, you'll love it. Works with all but the OLDEST of games.

I own a Mr.meiza,topolino,mr ooh chek,puncinello,mr hardware.
the best mouse adpater by far works 100% of the time even with my kvm
is the Mr hardware mouse adapter. It supports five buttons and dual scroll
mice. It even has joystick pass though with built in autoswitcher
very small, works real sweet, and I believe it is cheaper than the others in the States.
The only downside is Russ he is a Tad slow.
so explain real carefully you want a Mr.Hardware mouse adapters or you are liable to get a mr mieza.
oh his web address is as follows
www.mrhardwarecomputers.com
link to the mouse page it is hard to find
http://www.mrhardwarecomputers.com/pages/mousekey.htm
Kurt
PS it works as a plain Jane three button Amiga mouse without the included software so it is 100% compatible
with all software. even the old games and stuff

@ Kurt
I have ECS machine, I may have some older games than you have. Birds of Prey comes to mind, it won't run unless I boot from it, only amiga mouse will work @ this point. I try to keep an original mouse working just for this and maybe "Strike Fleet". The two formentioned were made in 1989, but still a blast.

a Infa red adapter plugged into it because
my mouse is on the keyboard (infa red) and this
device was meant to work with a PC

Epic bump, Amigo!

I use a non branded Amiga to USB mouse adapter i bought from ebay. The guy was selling loads at the time for iirc around 10 or 15 euros.
PROS: No need for drivers and works 100% fully with anything you throw at it, Early-startup, Workbench, OS3.9, All games. The lot. Just as though you are using an Amiga Mouse.
CONS: Forget the scroll wheel or the 3rd button.

Mr. Mysza works well for me. But why not just find another Amiga mouse from someone on this board or from eBay, etc.?
-
is this mr harware adapter working with ps2usb adapter so that usb mouse can be plugged ?
I own topolino3 and although it worked reliably for a long period of time,it needed a lot of space behing my A1200 (adapter+ps2usb+mouse cable or RF receptor for wireless mouse)
Now the soldering is weak after plugging/unplugging hundreds of time so it does not work anymore !
The mr hardware adapter seems smaller and cable-based.
I am wondering what would be the shipping costs for sending it outside USA !

Hi,
I went out to AmigaKit.com and bought a:
Micromys V3
The reason I chose this one is that it not only can be set up for Amiga, but also works with my C64.
Works Great.

Incase nobody else understands DBAlex's post, sian just dug up a post from more than seven and a half years ago. I might be (very) new here, but I think the generally accepted etiquette is to post a new topic, with more details given. Not post a one line cry for help in an ancient topic somewhat related to the problem you're having.

Interesting topic... Are there any USB to 9pin adapters out there? Do they work with gamepads and analog joysticks too?
It's been so long that I've forgotten... Can 9pin joyports do output?

I easily have 30 mice I have bought used, they don't last.

I must say that's a fascinating statistic. I'm still using the mouse that came with my A500 when I bought it in 1988.
-
Is there a usb to 9 pin connector? It's a royal pain to do USB to PS/2 to 9 pin creates quite a long bit of kit...
