Thinking of getting my amiga online, and wanting to know which is the best Web Browser to use?
Did opera ever make it to amiga?

IBrowse 2.3 is due anytime soon, that may possibly be the best out of the bunch, Voyager (http://www.vapor.com) is still being developed though...very slowly.

Nope :-(

I use Ibrowse myself now, but used Aweb in the past. Ibrowse is by fat the best with Voyager on its heels.

@Mouser
Depends on your browsing habits really, i would suggest you download all 3 (Voyager, Aweb, Ibrowse) and test them out,
If you have come from using a web browser on Windows,Mac,Linux then sadly you might be disappointed.

I concur with paulgad. All Amiga browsers in their current state are a pile of poo by today's standards. I recommend a computer on the side for you web based needs.

Do you have another computer? I have Voyager to give me access to SSL for banking & purchasing, it has basic Shockwave/Flash functions, and does animated avitars justice. I also have A-Web for more STABLE & everyday browsing. Voyager is VERY tempermental depending on your setup. Never tried I-Browse though, by many posts it may be better than A-Web for "casual" browsing. A-Web is now open code. Good updates may be on the way.

On the amiga I like to use Ibrowse and Aweb (in a pinch). For mystical reasons Voyager never would work on my 3000.
I am looking forward to the next version of Ibrowse 2.3, I believe.
As far as I know, Opera never made it to Amiga - I believe there was interest in doing it, but it fizzled. However, I do use Opera about 95% of the time on my win98 box. It would be fantastic if it were to be available for 4.0.

Hello
There is a new, fast, open source text / graphic browser for Linux: Links.
This browser support SVGALib, Frame Buffer and X-Windows. Perhaps this browser can be ported to Linux PowerPC + AmigaOne.
There is a plan to port this browser to Windows and BeOS. Is it possible to port this browser to AmigaOS?

A similar text browser exist for Amiga: Alynx (without graphics).
