I have now tried to update clean install from CD several times.
https://youtu.be/03pReWibxkY
This happens when:
A) I try to update OS with it.
B) If I install update 1.
C) if I install updates 1, 2 and 2 hotfix.
What is correct way to update OS4.1fe?
Those who don't want to watch my hand made poor video. There is crapled text in field "Store archives and updates here", when I try to change it to RAM: or any other I get grim reaper.

OK, update.
Clean install of OS4.1fe, first run AmiUpdate. It asks "new version, do you want to update 2.35 to 2.49". IF i click YES this is what ia get.

Think it also breaks AmiSSL so that any Browser using it woun't work anymore. <- that was my original problem, why I reinstalled OS.

@utri007
There were two versions of Update 2 ... original version and current version.
The original version of Update 2 released in Dec 2020 had lots of issues and required fixes that were released in the HotFix in Jan 2021.
The current version of Update 2 already contains the fixed software.
When I upgraded, I already had the CD and Update 1 lha file and Update 2 lha file, so I did not have to access the internet until I was finished.
These steps should work if your system is usable ...
- backup important settings
- QUICK FORMAT your system partition
- install AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition from CD
- install Update 1
- install Update 2
As I recall, you have to reset the machine after each install to make sure the changes take effect.
These installs will change you startup-sequence and user-startup.
They will also delete any Enhancer Software you added to your system partition.
You will also have to update AmiUpdate and AmiSSL.
Best wishes,

Update...
Ok, I see what you are talking about regarding AmiUpdate ... garbage in the box where you would select a filename. I remember someone discussing that with Nbache. I never saw this issue myself. It may be related to selected language if not English ...
---copy from amigans.net ---
Try setting your language to English (i.e. remove the languages in Locale Prefs and let it default to English).
Then with your older AmiUpdate search for updates using the English UI and get the new 2.49 AmiUpdate as well as the latest Italian locale for it (and/or whichever other locale you may want).
Deselect any and all other updates, so they don't interfere for now.
You may get an error and some Grim reapers when trying to exit AmiUpdate, but just ignore them and do a reboot.
Afterwards, you should be able to set you preferred language(s) again, and hopefully the texts will be where they should.
Best regards,
Niels

Locale was English with €, removin it didn't solve problem.
Those locales are not wanted or installed. German, Italian and Finnish, but it offers them any way.
