hi, i finally have my a1200 vampire working on 3.1.4 8)
one of the things i have going on is there is a unlabeled folder (which opens up as my workbench folder) is on my desktop
i already have a normal workbench folder on there as well.
how do i get rid of this?
thanks
also what are good enhancements for the desktop screen.
i have dopus, whdload, networking running, and mod player working..
-
Weird. Can you select that "folder" and chose Information from the menu? What does it say?
Also, select "execute command" from the menu, enter info and hit return.
-
the blank folder is
name: workbench (drawer)
last changed today
its rwxd on permissions
-
Try to rename it.
-
rename is grayed out.
-
can you "put it back"?
-
i tried everything i could think so.
rename, put back, unsnapshot.
everything but delete. didnt think that would be a good thing to do, might delete my workbench...
-
Hm, i don't think it is a link. Most likely a messed up RDB with a strange partition entry.
Please try giggledisk or https://thomas-rapp.homepage.t-online.de/downloads/hddreport.lha.

her is the ouput. i dont see anything jumping out at me.
-
And it is the same in the real machine?
-
looks the same except showing scsi.device
-
Hmm, duplicate .info file?
-
Look for a .backdrop file in your volumes, and if any of them contain a “workbench:” entry - if so, delete that line and reboot.
-
But that shouldn't be possible as you cannot "leave out" a volume can you? So he must have done this manually and should therefore remembering?
-
her is the ouput.
Please post the entire text file.

Maybe it is just some kind of dock, toolmanager or similar.
