Title: Perfect Paint Won't run in emulation
Post by: bradhansen1 on July 03, 2020, 05:28:21 PM
Hello All, I am trying to run Perfect Paint in emulation on a 3.9 system and on AmigaSys 4 under Amiga Forever.
When launching on my 3.9 system Perfect Paint just crashes the system.  On AmigaSys 4 the program launches
but is frozen. Before I was able to run it in emulation just fine, but now something is not okay.  Any suggestions would
be most appreciated. Thank you,
Brad Hansen

What version of P96 are you using?

Make sure you configure appropriate blitter library.

Hello SamuraiCrow and Kolla,

Thanks for taking the time to try and help. First I am running version 2.0 of Picasso96. My emulation
only has 3 settings for the Blitter "Normal" "Immediate" and "Wait."  Switched to each one, no change.

I mean the setting in PPaint....

In PPaint:PPaint_Prefs/Startup_1.set:
Code: [Select]
BLITLIBS = "personal_agnus_blit.library", "personal_68040_blit.library", 1

@kolla

That's Personal Paint, not Perfect Paint.  Perfect Paint is a graphics card only program written in Blitz Basic IIRC.

@BradHansen1

Try the older version of P96.  Version 2 has extensive changes that Perfect Paint may not recognise.
