Title: Suppression cap replacement for A3k PSU
Post by: hishamk on April 15, 2020, 09:43:25 PM
I need to replace the suppression cap in my 3000's PSU which literally fell out when I opened it up for a clean. The unit is a Euro 220V/240v.

The original one is an ERO F1772-510-2030, 1uF X2 MKT HMF 250V (first two images).

I've found a similar one on eBay but I'm not sure if it's an exact/safe match. I do know that you can use higher rated caps in most circumstances, but when it comes to PSU's, I'd rather be doubly sure. (https://www.ebay.com/itm/ERO-1uF-Capacitor-250-VAC-Radial-Metalized-Polyester-Capacitors-1uF-250V/281873849657?hash=item41a0fd9d39:g:I8MAAOSwcBhWX4kV) (the third image).

Anyone know if the listed one is a good match?

Cheers

Any Polyester X2 1uF >250V Cap would do.  I'd suggest a modern replacement rather than an old one.
