I want to buy a Tower case for my Amiga 1200, but I need a few opinions as to what type.
There is one from Power Computing the "Power Tower" £119.95
and one from Eyetech called "EZTower-Z4" for £59.99 what do you think is the best to use out of the two towers?
I want to exentualy get a Mediator PCI SX for my 1200.
Any opinions as to the best will be a great help.
TIA,
Mike.... :-)

The Power Tower is the one to get out of those 2 if you plan to upgrade it with PCI etc.

Well, the Power-Tower is exactly the same as the Elbox towers, I guess. So the mediator will fit like a dream.
Also i dunno if the Mediator will fit in the EZ-tower. Keep in mind though that eyetech are discontinuing all their 68K/Classic amiga products, so maybe you won't be able to get the EZ-tower at all, or you could get it very cheap, I believe Eyetech are doing some stock sales ATM to clear out their stocks.
I dunno about the EZ-tower, but the Mediator has received some very good reviews and seems very well built.
You might also try to send an pmail to kgrach on this forum, he sells some very nice custom built 1200 towers that fit the MediatorSX. Unforunately his business is in the US...

O.k thanks for that guys.
I shall get a Power Tower then....

I've got a Power Tower and the Mediator SX fits fine. The only problem I've encountered (and this is probably the same with all mediators) is that the keyboard adaptor supplied with the power tower has a large capacitor (or something) that gets in the way of the back-plate on one of the PCI slots

I have Eyetech's EZ-Tower Z4, and the instructions are given for fitting the Z4 or Mediator boards. Looking at the size of the tower alone, I'd be very surprised if it's a tight fight in there.
Having said that, I wish I'd gone for the Power Tower at the time :-(
