Title: AD516 sunrize studio 16 software and OS 3.1.4
Post by: dschallock on December 10, 2019, 07:48:12 PM
I just wanted to add to the searchable knowledge-base here by mentioning that when installing the software for this card on a fresh install of 3.1.4 be sure to use "expert" mode and do not allow the install script to replace any of your newer libraries with older ones.  I usually use "intermediate" install scripts and using that the software will overwrite several libraries and devices like the fast file system.  Once overwritten I started getting immediate crashes when clicking on CD0: device in dopus.  Went back in time and redid the install on expert and saved all the new files from 3.1.4 and the studio 16 software, the AD516 card, and os 3.1.4 are all fine.

@dschallock Nice of you to share! I too, have an AD516 - good to know! By any chance did you happen to note which files needed to be kept (the ones that should not be overwritten)? Maybe list them here?  ;)
