Title: Idefix 97
Post by: swift240 on March 12, 2004, 04:18:34 PM
I use an Amiga 1200 with OS3.9 IDE99 internal IDE board, external 6.4gig HD, external 16x CD rom drive, external floppy unit, Microvitec monitor. Apollo Turbo Mk-II accelerator runing at 40Mhz with 32meg Fastram.
Every time I install IDE99 and then Idefix 97 my Amiga will not load no matter what I do.
If I remove IDefix from the C: directory then it loads.
What is going on here?

It seems that I cant have Idefix97 runnig at all!!

Does any one know of this problem

TIA,

Mike.... :-?

The OS3.9 startup-sequence checks for the presense of IDEFIX and if found skips the scsi.device patch in setpatch.  I'd guess that your system is dependant on the real scsi.device.  Note that you shouldn't need IDEFIX on a 3.9 system, as all of the functionality is now included in the setpatch/rom update.
