ECS stands for "Enhanced Chip Set" and is the 2nd generation of Amiga custom chipset, between OCS and AGA (I don't know much about it, but IMO it's more closer to OCS than AGA).
What happens when you try to load an ECS game on your OCS machine? AGA was designed to be backwards-compatible, and most games run fine on it. If your's doesn't then there's no way to "convert" the game - instead you can fool it into thinking the AGA Amiga is ECS by fiddling around with the graphics options in the early menu (entered by holding both mouse buttons down when booting) and perhaps getting a piece of software called a "degrader".
What game are you trying to run?

I've tried all sorts, Elvira 2, Lemmings, Alien Breed 3D(1&2)
and, when i start them up, i get a screen full of colored lines.
Thanks for the answer, I'll try to "fiddle around" with the gfx options in the start-up..

There alos is a tool named "killAGA", which does exactly what it is named after ;)
Helps with a few games.
