Title: Haunted Amiga
Post by: Marky_D_Sahd on January 01, 2003, 11:24:53 PM
QUESTION: (I'll try to keep it brief)
Over the last weekend, my miggy suddenly began having massive problems:
It booted into B/W NTSC
The right button of my mouse, although feeling spritely and alive, registers nothing.
The clock doesn't work, and the battery was just replaced.
It can't find my CD-ROM

THE QUESTION IS..........
How much of this MIGHT be caused by a bad power box??  I have one other reason for thinking that might be the major problem, but I really want to find out how much I might have to  spend keeping this thing up while waiting for my AmigaOne

Thanks for any and all help!

(New Years is over.  Better ditch the snowflake avatar)

It doesn`t look like the power supply ( this time!)

software related i think,
check your startup sequence and any programs in the wbstartup drawer.

Also it would be good if you could mention what type of computer/software/os your running.

Right.  Silly of me.  I've got an A4000T with a  Spectrum board using the commercial Cybergraphix software.  Got OS3.9, just like a good boy.
Haven't installed anything new or upgraded much 'cuz my AmigaOne kinda' pinched me.

Does it help when I tell you that the static I thought I had coming off my speakers was actually coming from my Tower?? (This was my other reason I refered to earlier.  I didn't mention it because I wanted to know if there was any way it could be the PS, not the mouse/software/connections
