Title: Problems fitting the hypercom3+ with mediator SX card
Post by: jonssonj on March 11, 2004, 10:33:45 AM
Hello everyone!

I have some minor problems with fitting the hypercom3+ card in my A1200 Tower. The cable that are supposed to go to the clock-port of the A1200 are very short. So I have wrapped the hypercom3+ card in a antistatic bag and just let it hang in the tower. It's not a nice solution though. I would like to have a nicer solution. Is it possible to extend the clockport cable or get a longer one? Where can I get such a cable in that case?

just get a long 44way IDE cable (2.5 inch type) and cut that down to the required number of wires, im prety certain the spacing between pins is the same on the clockport as it is on the IDE header on the motherboard.

Don't let in lay in an antistatic bag though, as it conducts electricity and could lead to malfunction. Putting it in a regular plastic bag is better in this particular example...
