@Skateman

   Maybe because he didn't mention anything about the presentations or the DevCon.

As you probably know, I am the manager of the Amiga Developer Team so naturally the article was written from my perspective relative to the interests I have.

The projects you have highlighted are not sponsored or managed by us.  I am sure that they will be promoted by the respective parties involved with them.

@Matthew

Did you address the question as to whether the Prisma Megamix board allows the running of the Rapid Road USB from the onboard clock port in a big box Amiga? It is a simple question and I don't know why it isn't being addressed to be honest!? There is no point me buying them both on the assumption that this will work!

Thank you for the report. Was there a mention of Tabor or an update on that project status? I think that is the most important product since the demise of Commodore as it's feels like PPC / A1200 in concept.

I'm happy that there is "some" progress with Tabor. I really would like to have AmigaOS4.1 running of native hardware. I hope some day.

I hope a third party does a full report. For the last few years very little news from AmiWest has made it online. Basically, a summary of Trevor's presentation has been posted, and that's it (similar to last year). It's like the rest never happened.

I didn't get to see all the talks, but Aaron presented some interesting AmigaOS market. Amiga on the Lake paying Jamie to finish Advanced Visual Developer (AVD) is very welcome news, as a developer suite with GUI builder is something that should help developers make software faster. They're expecting a first version out early December (early bird price $199 USD, will be $299 later).

I'm sure there was more newsworthy stuff.

EDIT: Corrected AVD pricing

Don't forget Robert's/Bill's excellent video coverage, which is what I rely on to give me the next best experience to actually being there.

Best regards,

Niels

@Hans_

Early bird IIRC is 199$ till 1.0, then it's 299$, many montly plans exist to acquire a license, 4, 8 or 20  payments, it's quite nice.
I think that Jamie is doing great, but having seen Amiwest demo, the 5th of December is an aggressive milestone to achieve.
Once 2.0 is out then upgrade plan is 20% of the license don't know if it is 20% of 199$ for early birds.

@kamelito
Thanks for catching that. I've corrected the pricing.
