Hi could anybody tell whats the best driver to use on my SVGA monitor, it is an old Gateway 2000 monitor, I am using a Amiga to VGA adaptor out of my A1200, I have it running in Multisacn:Productivity, it works fine in DBLPAL:High Res as well.
Are there any other modes I should try?
I have my 1084S running off the Composite Video out for games etc...
Thanks :)

Don“t use Multiscan !! It slows your computer too much and your can not Overscan that screenmode either. Try to search for the screenmode DoublePal Hires No Flicker and Super72. Those are the ones that worked best on my A1200 with Blizzard 1230/4 and vga monitor (actually it was a 1538 multiscan but it later also worked on my 19" pc monitor) ...

or use DBL NTSC the NTSC modes have better refreshrate = less flicker.
But then my eye even spot flicker on a spanking new PC :-)

Thanks, I will try this also :-)

It's nothing to do with the machine. It is the refresh rate of the monitor.

I use Euro72 + VGAonly ... works fine ...

I agree with also trying Euro72. It seems like an odd screenmode, by name... But it looked very crisp on an old junk VGA that I was using back in the day.
